Since September 2019, the AREALME CPS Test has had one very simple job: measure how fast you can click, as accurately and fairly as possible.

That sounds easy until you actually build it.

A real CPS test has to deal with different mice, trackpads, touchscreens, browsers, refresh rates, accidental double-clicks, ultra-fast clicking styles, and people who will absolutely try to break the leaderboard just to see what happens. Over the years, we kept improving the test because the community kept pushing it harder.

Now CPS Test 2.0 is live.

This is not just a fresh coat of paint. We rebuilt the experience around the way people actually use the test: quick attempts, instant restarts, checking records, comparing stats, and jumping back in for “one more run” way more times than planned.

Faster runs, cleaner flow

The biggest day-to-day upgrade is speed.

In the old version, starting over could feel a little too heavy, especially if you were grinding short runs or comparing different test durations. In 2.0, restarting a new round is faster and smoother. The page responds more quickly, the test flow feels lighter, and the whole thing gets out of your way.

That matters because CPS is a rhythm test. If you have to fight the interface between attempts, your focus gets broken. The new version keeps the boring parts short so you can stay locked in.

Pick a duration, click, check the result, run it back.

Built for people who care about records

We have always cared about accuracy, but records need more than accurate math.

Since launch, we have stayed close to the CPS community and reviewed user-submitted record videos ourselves. Today, we have collected more than 40 user records with video evidence, and those records are backed by uploads on YouTube.

That is important to us. A huge number on a screen is fun, but a verified record should have proof behind it. We want the leaderboard to feel exciting without turning into a random screenshot contest.

If you are trying to beat your own score, you can keep it casual. If you are going after a world record, we want the path to be clear, serious, and fair.

A better place for all the useful stuff

CPS Test 2.0 also has a much cleaner information structure.

Local records, world records, stats, FAQs, changelogs, and extra notes are easier to find now. You do not need to dig around or guess where something lives. If you want to see how your score compares, check the latest record categories, read common CPS questions, or look through updates, the new layout makes that much quicker.

This was a big part of the redesign. The test itself should be fast, but the information around it should also be easy to scan. Some people come in for a 10-second Minecraft-style CPS check. Others want deeper stats, marathon modes, or proof that a record is real. The new page supports both kinds of users without making either group wait.

The original keeps moving

Over the years, a lot of CPS sites have followed ideas we built first. Different test durations, live click tracking, records, reports, challenge modes, and small quality-of-life details have all become common around the web.

Honestly, that kind of attention is a strange compliment.

But copying a feature is not the same as caring for a product. We have kept updating the CPS Test for years, listening to players, reviewing records, improving performance, and adding the small details that only show up after millions of real attempts.

That is why 2.0 matters. It is not just about being first. It is about still improving after the first version already worked.

Try CPS Test 2.0

If you have used our CPS Test before, the new version should feel familiar, just faster and easier to move through.

If this is your first time, welcome. Try a short run, then a longer one. Compare your local records. Check the world records. See how long your clicking rhythm can actually hold up.

And if you get a score that makes your friends say “no way,” you know where to submit the proof.
